That would feed my pack for about 3 days. I go through a cow every two weeks. 12 Leopard Hounds, 3 terriers, 2 Stags, 2 whippets and a batch of 7 collie lurchers and my wifes mutt.

fkin hell, thats some serious dog shit to shovel / wash away!

does any of the hunting you do generate any income to help towards the dogs upkeep? or is it all purely for the sport with no revenue streams back into the kennels?are the cows old stock direct from a farm, and as a matter of intrest, what would a cow cost and what condition would it come to you?, as in, dressed out? , skinned?

Guiding in the winter, selling started bobcat dogs, some pup sales to repeat customers. I haul dogs when I go to the big events and spend loads of time with my kids and put them to work too. I train a couple of bear dogs in the summer and sell them in the fall.

I do have a "dog hill" that has 25 foot cable runs with the houses at the top and it works very well for keeping things clean. Every time it rains the hill is cleaned. It's a steep, and long hill and is well suited for the dogs. We bought the 13 acres behind our house just to get this hill. The bonus is that the other twelve acres is a game runway and is good for bagging around 6 deer and a barrel of grouse each year keeping us from having to buy meat at the store. Pretty cool set up. Here's a picture:
