DogMagic 461
Prevention IS the best thing. As has been said festoon the place with security lights and cctv. Cement a load of broken glass on top of walls around the garden. Good locks. Barbed wire too and get a big, specialist guard dog. Iv got 2 of these. The noise that they make alone is enough to put most of the dirty hedge crawling scum on their toes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNlQe2Iq-NI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvRCfdWvNuk Quote Link to post
DogMagic 461
Also make sure the cctv is set up to catch registration plates and that the dogs are chipped. Make sure you have plenty of pics of the dogs too and if it happens you can circulate the pics all over the internet. People know people these days. The internet makes us all neighbours. Sooner or later they fall out with somebody and then the somebody tells you who has your dog etc. And the most important thing is that when you do find out who it is smash them to a f***ing pulp! 3 Quote Link to post

bigears 205
i have had 2 dogs stolen my old bitch was 8 and 1/2 and two weeks in pup by Ian glovers ( RIP ) January jack i eventually found out by a mate a very well known dog man who recently passed away ( RIP ) A P, it was yes you v guessed it a traveller, my circumstance at the time prevented me from following it up , the 2nd dog the granddaughter of the first dog was being looked after by a very good mate as i was in-between houses at the time , he phoned me to tell me she had been taken and he had a good idea who it was yes you've guessed it was a traveller, he had seen 2 travellers going to the said traveller who had moved into a house over the road to my mates any way he ended up fighting with the traveller , so when he phoned me to tell me what had happened THIS IS WHAT I TOLD HIM TO DO i said tell your wife to go and see his wife and tell her that the dog did not belong to her husband that it was his mates from Manchester and he has told me to tell you that if the dog was not back by tomorrow night he is coming down with a few of his mates and is going to smash your house up and put your husband in hospital , the dog was tied to my mates gate when he came home from work, i only got her back because we had a address to go to , that's why most travellers don't want a house, i have some mates who are proper travellers you could leave them in your house and go away for a week and they would not touch any thing in your house so i am not tarring all travellers with the same brush , to all the lads who have had there dogs stolen i hope you get them back happy hunting 1 Quote Link to post

Calli 93
Anyone interested in RFID microchips. Trackable and real time traceable. Yes I know they are removablelike microchips but if it gives you a 24 hours lead would you be interested? Project underway. These chips can also store very valuable data and if anyone is interested in the fitness planning and heart monitoring? Thanks Callie Quote Link to post

BIG G wheton machine 1,594
id say 90% of dog thieves are travellers, yes yes I know not all travellers are bad, but the one that are nicking everything getting the rest a bad name are. they have the network and web to sell them on among themselves without outsiders getting to see them. they are the ones always hanging around peeking over fences looking scrap or at least scrap is a code word for anything worth nicking. and as the saying goes honour among thieves is why they never give them back because its the pot calling the kettle black a thief calling another a thief. no offence to the decent travellers who don't do that sort of shit on people 1 Quote Link to post
