Look at it from another persective its started to work thus it has the working gene age brings experience but does it increase the working gene or its capabilty to pass it on in breeding ??? That makes sense fair play! Quote Link to post

BIG TOM 835
Personally I wouldn't breed until she had had a fair few seasons hard graft and proven she's the business And then I would think about breeding Back to the blood line that's she's from hence to keep that blood strong but outcross If its a must only to another proven bloodline breed dog doing the job consistently But it's your dog and your choice Then if the dog does unfortuntley doesn't make it to a suitable breeding age then it's the terriers god way of saying you didn't need the bitch anyway But just my opinion of course Atb Tom Quote Link to post

Tommy pepper 222
I had a father jump on his daughter 10 weeks ago I was absolutley gutted that I had took my eye of them for 2 seconds whilst feeding them and thought I had let myself and the young bitch down if she was in pup (I proper went under over this lol ) as she is only just over 2 years and no way near a working terrier yet then 3 weeks later kids kicked a ball in the garden and let the father out he was missing I felt sick had a gut feeling I whuldent get him back I was wishing so much that the bitch was in pup so I had somthing to go on with next day the male found his way home and it turns out the bitch wasent in pup happy days I got a second chance what ime getting at is if you lose your bitch you will kick yourself for not taking the breeding while you had the chance if you breed her now or in 5 years to the dog you got in mind the genes will be the same you will just no more about your bitch than you do now you only got to please your self mate if its what you want to do go for it don't listen to the thl maffia do what you think is right for you and your team Quote Link to post

Huntermanic 22
Where have her parents gone where have here litter mates gone if you got a tight circle they should all still be around should they not? Yes they are. But she shines from the rest. She had her first completed dig at 8 months. Quote Link to post
Huntermanic 22
Look lads a lot of you keep bringing up her age and her experience. This is what I've started this forum for to get other people's opinion. My mates keep saying bred her bred her bred her. I've got a couple of good terriers and had plenty of shit from well bred litters, so I no what's good and bad and you cant always get pups like the parents. They say you only get one dog that shines from the rest in ya life and this bitch is it. I've got a stud I can use which is cousin to the bitch. MIND IS MADE UP WE ARE BREEDING THE BITCH. THANKS FOR THE GENUINE FEEDBACK. Quote Link to post

rob284 1,682
Why don't you ask Rob284 if he can recommend a stud....you both seem to have the same mentalityI don't want a dog off a 2 year bitch, but if he wants one I'm sure he can line his own bitch. 1 Quote Link to post
