Some of the law changes can be a bit "maddening" ie the scrum but I still love rugby and always will.

 

Professionalism is still pretty new to rugby union and as any sport that gets professional status it will have to suffer some changes that will not always sit well with the "die hard" fan.

It's not boring.

 

 

But watch any of the classic matches from the golden era . . . . . and I think they ARE more interesting.

:yes: The one thing I agree with that geek about is there's too much emphasis on the physicality of players over the skills these days..

With the sport now professional it as become a little elitist but the core mentality of the players is still the same imo, hit ten sorts of shit out of each other and have a pint after............grass roots rugby will always be followed and played with the same zest as it always as imo. :thumbs:
