Purse Net Making

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience making there own purse nets? Is it difficult? Are there any decent links out there on how-to?

I learned through freedomofabirds vids http://www.youtube.com/user/freedomofabird . Its not hard just expect to make one or two cock ups on your first couple of nets and don't give up.

I was around 12-13 years old when I was shown how to make my own nets.

not hard at all, you might make a hash of your first net or two. you'll be flying after that

Totally agree some people think its just about economy.

Its a shame your no closer i like to show folk who are interested how to knit its a lot easier with somebody there showing you and any questions can be answered as they crop up

I made the mistake of trying to learn from a piece of paper with sketched diagrams that I got with a net making kit,ridiculously difficult....the various you tube vids are the way to go if you don't know someone to show you,my ferreting pals buy theirs,but theres much more satisfaction in making your own plus it beats watching crap on the tv all night

I got a purse net kit from agouti last week and soon knocked up half a dozen after watching his vids on YouTube.

I learn't by getting a copy of Howard Glynns book called Net making for sport

very easy to understand,give it a go.
