alimac 882 Posted September 8, 2013 Report Share Posted September 8, 2013 Fished the Tyne for 2 days last week & Iv never seen so many tiny fish taking the weir, it seams every east coast river is the same. I'd like to agree with regards the bad feeding but the salmon seam to be in fine fettle, only the grilse seam affected??? Quote Link to post

perthshire keeper 1,239 Posted September 9, 2013 Report Share Posted September 9, 2013 Fishing has been as poor as ive ever seen it up here due to lack of rain and high river temp ...plenty of fish at sea and we are starting to see a few now the nets are off ...headed out tonight with my young lad for a craic at a few finnock ....spotted a few fish in a pool and ended up with 2 grilse and a 6-7lb sea troot what a fight on a #4... 7 footer all returned 021.JPG erm is that not a salmon?
