Charter Trip Yesterday

Organised a trip for a fella's stag do on a boat out of Looe yesterday.

Weather was undecided when we set off but it came good and we had a beautiful day.

 

Caught a bit of bait after a short cruise out of the harbour.

 

Steamed out a few miles and got stuck in on a big reef.

 

Had a good variety, put the doggies and the little conger back but caught some decent pollack, lots of good sized whiting and lots of bits, not as many pouting as we would have expected but got quite a few all the same.

 

I didn't take many decent pics (as usual).

Was myself, Robbo and Moletrapper off this site on the trip, this being probably my best effort although me, Robbo and Andy the butcher all lost BIG fish, the ones that got away eh?

Should have taken some better shots of the total haul as this doesn't do it justice. We had a lot of fish LOL

 

But a real good day, bit of crack and plenty of fish in the freezer and an extra day off work

 

And the Labtastic Cup for feck ups goes to Matt and Stuart,

with this classic bit of knotsmanship - Nobs

Was the small baitfish on top, going home for ferret and dog food. There wasn't one mack caught that was 30cm though, don't know where you've got that from?

Sounds like a good day out with friends mate was there any spanish mackerel among them we've had a few caught down this way lately.

No we had one skat mackeral but no Spanish as far as I'm aware.

Good whiting around the 2lb mark.

Would like to thank dytkos for asking me on this trip, and also the guy whose stag do it was for letting a total stranger tag along on his do.It was a really good day out. was made to feel welcome by everyone, and caught plenty of fish. All those allegedly undersize mackerel make cracking bass baits frontbum. also use the whiting to make fishcakes yum yum.

I would definately be up for a trip kev if you can arrange one.
