Stuart1985 256 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Share Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) Evening all I have managed to get a nite site after a bit of messing about of people ebay etc anyway got it now from a great shop in armadale near Bathgate. Pretty sure most people in central scotland will know about this great shop but heres the link below. http://www.airgundealerscotland.co.uk/Contact-Us-opening-times.html Also picked up a Dr bob Rapid 7 Dovetail Rail Conversion so got my Hawke Sport HD 4-12×50 IR all set up Also i have went and got a seben dka2 camera mount Had a quick mess about with it and using my panasonic HC V10 HD and was very impressed Was going to go out to night with the nite site but its raining heavily Any tips for me to get the best out if the nite site? secretagentmole 1,701 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Share Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) How to get the best out of the Nite Site... 1) Use it an hour after the sun has set! 2) Always charge the battery before you leave. 3) Set it up for the first time and get used to shooting with it in the daylight. Distances can look different at night using the Nite Site (hell they look different using the scope). 4) When you set it up ensure everything is straight, otherwise you might be inadvertently canting the rifle! You may find because your rapid is longish and you have a silencer fitted, it best to raise the ir module and screen slightly to prevent ir picture flare. porkycrook 466 Posted September 7, 2013 Report Share Posted September 7, 2013 Hi Stuart the first thing i would do is to move the screen unit further forward on your scope, if you still suffer with IR bouncing off the scope/silencer then as Si says raise it even more. Quote Link to post
