Things I found in mb whippets to others

Not as fast

More stamina

Stronger type leading to look like non ped

That only difference but I think it makes alot when you way it up

It's the splash of what he added that makes for

This

I would go with mb whippets if I was to get

One

I have a whippet x sired by glen (strike while the irons hot )

And for what he is he's strong as f**k

im sure i read on here that theres gryhound blood in them down the lines :hmm:

I'd hazard a guess of greyhound and bull.

But then Greys have bull in them anyway. . .

Bull is how I hear it

Iv t,ried me hardest not to comment lol I've been out with a few whippet s in me days an some where from Mb`s line. They ain't nowt special an can do no more than a lot of other whippet s, granted som

I have one. He's more like a lurcher than a whippet, as said, not as fast, but that's good because if he was he'd probably have killed himself. The dog has great drive, great hunting ability, is very

Measured him the other day, he's about 22". And normally weighs about 40lb fit. Although he's a fat b*****d at the moment, with being laid up. I'd love to see what came out of Finn and Keith's nell, but alas no....

I was hoping to test him hard again this year and then put him to a small lurcher after this winter or the next, but I'm going to have to wait and see how his injury pans out, if he comes good, and if so how long he's off for....

But I genuinely think he has something to add to a lurcher. I'd love to put him across a half x collie / grey.

Definitely got a dash of bull in mb whippets...stands out a mile. Someone's got one near me as a pet...nice, but Christ for a whippet it's slow.....don't be blinded by thinking mb whippets are the be and end all, whippets by there very nature are game little dogs that love to hunt, just get a pup off two good worked whippets.

It's funny, whenever someone asks or talks about Mike Browns whippets. . . . . . there are always the same folk desperate to point out that they are not the be all and end all, that there are other good lines etc out there. Isn't that pretty damn obvious? Same as any breed or x of dog, there are always more than one person, who can manage to breed some handy specimens of that breed or x.

As for speed, size, weight etc. While some folk may not like the bigger whippets, they suit others down to the ground. I know that my dog is bigger than a lot of whippets, and probably slower than a lot as well. However, he's fast enough to catch any quarry that you can (or could pre-ban) run on British soil, and being perfectly honest, I would have been really dissapointed if he had come out 20" or below . . . . . or was any less heavy and thick set. Finn could eat a lot of the other whippets we see. . . . . .

There ARE other good lines of whippets out there, some which will do the same job as M.B's and others which are maybe more suited to other tasks (my lads probably not going to win a whippet race!). But you cant argue (as much as many would like to try - i'm sure they will be a long in a minute) that the man has produced some handy dogs, and some handy blood (perhaps he didnt produce it. . . . . just blended it) which has been used by other folk in their lines and dogs. And thus far, I've never met anyone who had a dog off him who had been disappointed. . . . . .

Just my two penneth worth. . . .
