A Walk With Rm... And Baby Rabbits??...in Sept!...hmmm

Recommended Posts

Went for a walk with ross today.... had the dogs but gutted to leave the pup at home...couple of weeks and she will be out with her new pals  ...

Anyhow...

It was a mile or two walking down the country lanes until we found a field that had been cut.... we letthe dogs have a mooch about... the terrier and the whippet were right in about the bushes and a rabbit or two was moved around... but nothing for the dogs... or atleast nothing run worthy...

Wee while along the field the whippet caught a rabbit in the undergrowth... but once she emerged with it...we realised it was a young un'..... we took that off her...fit and well....

Ross put it in his pocket for a few minutes to calm the wee thing down...and released it where she caught it.... a few minutes later....

Was thinking about ferreting close to here at the weekend.... a wee trip out for the kids as theyre asking to go...theyre not daft  ...

But unsure now...with it being sept.... just about... and theres young un's around....

Will have to have a wee think....

Bit of a warm day..and the wind has died down... but might give the longnet a run out tonight....

And maybe ferret local at the weekend... along the rail track... no dogs... and the longnets...

We will see....

Cheers

BPR...

Good bit for a mooch about plenty along railway further up field :)

Aye but they don't sit too far out, good for lamping and I think long netting will work.

Aye...no dogs.... ferrets and the longnets along the railway + purse nets will work....
