Terrier Locators

Just wondering if anyone can help me? I'm looking to purchase a new terrier locator, as I've had enough of the Deban terrier finder(with the disco lights and sounds!). The people I know in the terrier world all rave about bellman and flint, you could say its considered the rolls Royce of locators! But someone mentioned ortovox locators(D3 to be precise), I've tried to research this and all I can find info on is the reciever boxes. Do they produce collars? Or a transmitter that you attach to a collar? Or does anyone own one that they can tell how good they are I would buy a bellman and flint, but they are mega bucks on my sallery, any thoughts appreciated guys?

Got a bellman & flint mate, very accurate and never let me down. Ortovox suppose to be faster at pickin up changing distances but you can't dig until settled so that don't matter. B&f box very strong a durable made for the terrier sport. If buying new both are expensive. Never used ortovox box cause never needed to. B&f has always done the job with ease.

Ortovox is cheaper. I've used it and was impressed. I bought it off here im sure strong stuff made the collars to suit the transmitter. The collars had a velcro fastening but I used to use two small zip ties also for extra security. Good honest locator but transmitter is a bit bulky for my liking. Especialky in tight rooty places. Id recommend them though if you cant afford the b&f

have got the old pieps b&f box and collar but also got a back up ortovox d1 with strong stuff collar and transmitter good to have a backup plan think i paid about 170 quid ui think for d1 and transmitter with collar works a bit like the old knocker box system but just follow the arrow and colours .
