BOLIO1 1,078
I'd have stayed in the fire sevice after the big strike in '77 and would now be retired with a pension. I think.
leegreen 2,197
You boys ain't got much imagination. Even the jobs you wanted sounded a bit boring. With the exception of Rakey I wouldn't of minded being a airline pilot or maybe have a fleet of big game boats in the Caribbean. Vet sounds a sensible option. But I would have liked to have got into property developing, because the boys I know that did in the 80's are laughing. how many jobs have you tried? Started my life as a toolmaker (6 years), then went where the money was in the City of London as a shop fitter (3 years). Had enough and started my own landscape gardening firm (4 years). Had 18 month off, went traveling Asia. Came back did a cuntryside management course. Also gained my tree surgery tickets, aerial rescue, dismantling, felling etc. Then became a council resident caretaker! for 7 years. Now I own and manage a fishery for the last 11 years . Still do the odd bit of tree work, along with some plumbing, ground work, a fair bit of carpentry, roofing and what ever else needs doing! I am a proper lazy fecker. I have also worked as a dog handler and done a good bit of time 88-94 in the rave scene . There is probably some more but I'm boring myself.
