foxtails 272 Posted September 2, 2013 Report Share Posted September 2, 2013 I know a family of farmers from Monmouth and the father and son both do a bit of lamping with the rifles and invite me and a mate up there now and again for the foxes they both swear blind they have seen a big black cat on seperate occasions So I don't know could well be my perm is near there , hopefully they'l leave my rabbits alone Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I've seen Otters on a couple of occasions and I have friends that have many good pictures of them. Don't know of any body that has really seen a big cat, let alone got a picture of one. I have friends living in Texas who have Great Pyrenees mountain dogs and the cougars (cats not middle aged women lol) regularly give them grief. You don't know the cats are there until boom! My mate that I hunt with swears blind he has seen one. It was on country file a few months back I think and there's things online showing livestock that doesn't look like it was killed by a fox. I seem to remember a horse was one of them? I believe there is big cats about. As has been said if they don't want to be seen then they won't. Was it the Tasmanian devils that where extinct but then they eventually found a spot that had a group still wild? It proves that just because we haven't found it doesn't mean they don't exist. It's the same sort of area and with two eye witness accounts. I know we have all the technology but the majority of farmers are over 60 and don't use camera phones and these are the people the that are out and about the most . I was shown pictures of carcasses which with big puncture wounds and the farmer reckoned nothing would touch the carcass after. Wullz 408 Posted September 3, 2013 Report Share Posted September 3, 2013 My next door neighbour and his son claim to have seen one, between Bathgate and Linlithgow....one bound from a high bank hit the middle of the road and over the fence on the far side....black, long thick tail. Not the first time there have been reports in this area.... However, like everyone else, I wont believe it myself until the pelt is lying in front of the stove......
