Career 707 Help Me Please !

Recommended Posts

Because they were the most abused rifle in the uk, restriction have been placed on import parts & service, so very hard to come by.

Most have been butchered to extent of 35-90flb so illegal in every term.

standard rifle barrels are diabolical accuracy, with prone to cracking the tip off where threaded for silencers. very heavy & over priced, along with ugly beyond belief !!

IMO - Get a rapid 7 in 22 cal, plenty spares & superb accuracy.

Hello HarryRod,

I sold my Careers 707 MK2 too two of my brothers they live in Northern Ireland. I will asked them where to get parts for these rifles. I know they still have them one is .22 caliber in 80/FT LBS an the other is .25 caliber 80/FT LBS. I will speak to them tomorrow with the 5 hours differince. They told me a place where they took these rifle to get check out. Think when I was over last year it was one off the seals went. I will get you the address and phone number so you can chat with the owner off the shop in Northern Ireland. Will try and PM you with the information that I get from my brothers.

I still use my Career 707 .22 carbine in fact just the other day. http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/index.php/shin-sung-career-707-22-carbine-rabbit-clearance/ Check it out, I'm told it's a good read.

I replaced the tank seals and the pressure gauge seals last year. I visited the local plumber's shop with samples and picked them for under 2 quid. When I bought mine secondhand, the transfer port was about 5mm (80lb) and illegal. T.E.Robb in Essex had various spares available then, but it was several years ago. I bought a new transfer port from him, with a 1mm hole to bring it back to 12lb. It's now on FAC at 28lb with a 2.5 mm hole.

The full size rifle is very heavy, but the carbine is just right and very accurate firing Bisley Magnums. Mine came with a video showing a full strip down.

Totally disagree with some of these comments.

The MK I was absolute rubbish but the MK II & MK III are pretty good reliable

and accurate guns. I have owned several.

Carbine , Midi and full length.

The simplicity of this design sets it ahead of anything in the market and I've never had any problems with the barrels which are made by Luther Walther since 1997.

I have owned over 30 pcp's, and shot targets and hunt regularly, few rifles

come close and when you look at the price of these when new they were very cheap.

O ring kits are still available from

T.R.Robb or Predator Airgun Spares.

As are exhaust valves, filling valves not much else goes wrong !
