Ffs some of you have no brains if , moyes dosnt work then fair enough but to say he didnt do anythink at everton ffs without moyes they was down season after season, and you think you know football geezzzzzzz plank. Lol

Why would they go down when they have players valued at 25 mill +................They have always had good players in the side its not like Moyes made the best of a bad bunch.

It must be odd for you Man Unt fans this season, now the old boys gone who was in fact the backbone of the team and had a proven track record, you all sort of knew you were gonna be up there season after season.

 

But, no longer.......you have a manager with to be honest, no track record at all......say waht you like, but he didnt set the world on fire with Everton so you dont know how its gonna turn out...........haha.......welcome to the real world boys

 

As fans, I will ask you, how confident are you this season?.........IMHO, the Liverpool game was a "must win" for Moyes and he failed........all factors considered as a manager, I dont think you could even entertain the concept of losing that game....what do you reckon?

A one nil loss or any loss at Liverpool isn't that unusual Wilf, even when Fergie was at the helm a win or draw there was never a given.. Bit strong to say it was a 'must win' IMO, it was an early game against one of our bitterest rivals in which the only thing really at stake was bragging rights. Our other games were a 0-0 draw againt Chelsea who are one of the favourites for the title and a good 4-1 win away at Swansea.. Fergie himself chose Moyes as a successor, if he fails it lies fairly on his shoulders and it will be a blip on his record. Do you not think a man with such knowledge, experience and the know how to keep a team at the very level would have recommended a man if he didn't think he'd be able to handle it?

I think Moyes did well to stabilise Everton after a dodgy few years , but then he didn,t kick on ,respectable results seemed to be enough for him ,and the last 3/4 years seemed like he was just keeping a steady ship until the United job ( that he was promised 3 years ago ) came up.

Fair one mate but I am a big believer in the phsycological side of sport and I think as ex manager of Everton and the new Manager of Unt a win at Liverpool would have put up a flag for all to see.

 

It would also have sent a " I mean business" message to all your rivals..........the big man had nothing to prove so it didn't matter for him.

The big man left Moyes a club in good order with outstanding players.......what Moyes does with it now has nothing to do with Fergie IMHO

He is tactically inept A dinosaur in his methords And a control freak. Witch will not wash at carrington. I doubt he will last two seasons

Your a football fan mate no different to me......you know as well as i do if there was 1 game throughout the season Moyes would of wanted to win more than any other it was that one......against your biggest rivals,at a vital changeover time,right at the start of the season.....Wilf talks about pshycology in sport.......look what a good win would of done for team and fan morale...................................yet look what its done in reality........................Maybe it wasnt a must win game for Utd but i think it was for Moyes..................and like i say 3 points dropped to teams around you is a bigger loss than 3 points lost to a side at the other end of the table.

Fair point.. It would have set down a marker and provided an early boost, and perhaps more importantly made him instantly popular with the fans and maybe this in turn would have given him a bit of breathing space further down the line when we inevitably hit a run of poor form as most teams do..
