Blue/ Black Fruit

Can't find any sloes hereabouts but have come across some blue/black fruits about twice the size.Can anyone tell me what they are and if i can use them as I would use sloes.Many thanks.

Probably buliss or damsons these are ok to use damson gin is very nice bud if not sure get a pic up and people will identify for you

Take a look in the hedge rows while out walking about in the sticks mate sloes about 10-12 mm in size damsons ut 20-25mm. Round

I had the same thing with sloes and horse raddish the once you spot them you see them all over the place just at a glance

Try old railway lines usually a good variety down there theres one near me with all sorts including what i think are green gauges.

found (i think) damsons and sloes. oakey u were spot on seeing them everywhere now!!
