Blakloks 5
I've never owned one but would like to, can anybody recommend me some decent makes to look out for I'm not looking to spend thousands just a nice wee gun for the pheasants Quote Link to post
Dave Litherland 0
either go for a nice ugartechia, Aya (something a bit more than a yeoman though, the 25 is a nice short gun) or something English like a cogswell and harrison. All great guns Quote Link to post
Blakloks 5
Thanks for that mate, are the kestrels any good had a look at one a while back Quote Link to post
Wil12G 2
Personally I find the kestrels a bit clunky, I prefer the feel of AYA's. My first gun was an AYA Yeoman, many years ago, it got plenty of use and never failed. Not the prettiest of guns but it worked. Also had an AYA 25 and again no issues, wish I had never sold the 25 to be honest. Go and shoot a few see what you think handles best. I prefer an English straight stock and small fore end, hence the AYA's. They just seem to handle better for me. Quote Link to post

AYA are spanish manufacturer's, I had a Yeoman years ago and loved it, would still have it today if I hadn't dropped it and split the stock, I have got an AYA No4 now and I love it aswell, if you are going to get one, keep an eye out for the ejector model as some are none ejectors. Blakloks 5
Cheers lads great help helps narrow the search down abit Quote Link to post
stroller 341
I use a Yeoman for just about everything (Apart from Ducks and geese),very reliable light weight gun it doesn't eject which is a down side especially if you have sausage fingers. A really nice one will set you back £200 - £300 Quote Link to post
trenchfoot 4,243
AYA No.4 every time for me. A little more rfined than the yeoman and is an ejector. A modern day equivalent of the fabulous webley and Scott 700. Shoot well, cheap and easy to get spare or repair. What not to like?! Quote Link to post
