Kaiserdog 20
Generally speaking, which is best , the mark 1, or the mark3, example reliability, ease of use, accuracy etc. As I am looking to buy one off this site soonish. Positive & negative opinions welcome. Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
I have a mk3m and find it an invaluable bit of kit. Picks up the collars in a 16ft radius then switch to find depth. I think the mk1 only gives depth. Either or...definitely a must if you want your ferrets back ;-) Quote Link to post

Its_grim_up_norf 577
speaking to a lad local to me who only goes ferreting, has done for years, he doesnt use them at all...seemed to think it was too much money to pay, now Ive became attached to mine, so i want em back, but him and the lads he goes with just treat them like they're expendable. got a hutch full, so it doesnt matter if they dont come back. but he rarely loses them as well they always surface...? is this common? or do most use collars? Jamie m 668
Provided a good ferret can turn a rabbit. , it should surface , Quote Link to post
Its_grim_up_norf 577
i thought so, they always come back like when ive been out with him, and after seeing some videos of people digging them out (a fair way down) even if i knew where it was if it was 10ft down id think 'f**k that' anyway Quote Link to post
jrobsm1 5
I thought the same as you mate ill just get another if I lose it but now im glad I got the collar mk3m other wise I would have lost a mint worker ferret for the sake of a 2ft dig Quote Link to post

swaino 126
I used the mark 1 for years but when the mark 3 come out I bought it, i used it once and hated it. It sounded daft and just didnt understand how to use it. It got left at home and it was forgotton about. The mark 1 come back out for me. It wasnt until a couple years later when I brought the mark 3 back out with me and this time I was determined to use it right. Picked up how to use it on youtube and now I will never go back to another. Its a great bit of kit. Finds the ferret in no time and you drop right on it everytime. Brilliant. Quote Link to post
