We were really looking forward to this coming season with my new Ess to hunt alongside us...Gutted ! Quote Link to post

nomoon 542
many females become agressive its a female thing, but can become overpowering if you let them win, change her routine, weatherings etc turn her world on its head, then man her and dont let her win, there clever, give them an inch and they,l take a mile ,good luck, 1 Quote Link to post

shootinforfood 18
don't give up on her, show her who is boss and make sure she knows it. the offer above is a good one though, would seriously consider it before selling to someone who may not know what they are doing with her Quote Link to post
milo 74
If you think she can be sorted i would be able to try it myself altho the offer you made crow hawker is very appericated,i do not want to loose this hawk FULL STOP but im just concerned that she may bind to my nephew !. Ivw spoken to some well respected falconers today and they seem to think she could be partialy imprinted ? ive got a home for her and they are decent guys to be honest and she will be looked after and hunted well, but if you guys think she could be turned around il try it but if there is a risk im not going to go there on it . arcticgun 4,548
my old female harris used to come out the chamber full of venom every year she was pulled, she was pure evil, posing posturing striking out with talons , proper cow, once manned and channeled quickly into hunting hard she soon realised that she needs myself and the dog and it was back too buisness, your pals telling you duff info mate, likely they will turn the bird around and sell it on later in season or summat, she has sat and lived the dream eating as much as she wants for months on end , she just needs the edge taking off her, Crowhawkers offer is a very good one if you dont feel confident of doing it yourself, keep the young un away until she ready and you trust her again, rebuid your bond, she had her own way for too long lol do it yourself and its another learnign curve in your falconry career and something you will be able to pas onto others in the fututre, could save more birds fromt he birdtrader merry go round Quote Link to post
