What days are you fishing?

I'll struggle in the week with work I've just had a week off and came back to carnage lol..

It was the same for us, we had live eels but just couldn't set a drift properly, the wind was holding us up at times, I was hoping for a few bass but it wasn't to be.. It was quite nice to sit at anchor for a change though, there were a few small red bream caught too but they went back...

not sure what days im doing yet. but ill have a day on the wrecks and do a lot of shore fishing for a bass or mullet. .

I no what you mean about the wind and getting the drift right. was a pain in the arse. I gave all my fish away to the lads as it was there 1st time out and they blanked. ...mrs wasn't to happy

Very nice kev. I love ling , one of my favourite eating fish.

Cheers Bry, it was all lovely mate, and your right ling Is really nice... Loads died a few years back around here I think it was something to do with the oxygen in the water??? I was told hundreds were just floating in the surface dead.. It was nice to see a few about,

Plus the bream with a few over 4lb, was nice to see... The biggest problem was the pout, we filled a box for the crab pots, if does your head in when you've got to wind up 2 pout from 200ft...

Yes it does mate. Thing is you know its only a pout before you start winding :censored: . My dogs love it so i fetch a few home for them. its nice to catch bream on the right gear they are great sport and lovely eating. Been getting a few good gilts over the past week or so, just need to keep it a secret from the netting boys or they will fcuk it up. Going out on friday with dytkos so hopefully have a lot of filleting to do.

Good luck on Friday Bry,

Lovely the bream, was fishing 12lb gear for them, I only used 15lb gear for the ling and conger, it puts a decent bend in the rod lol... As for the pout they went in crab pots..

Don't think we've ever caught any bream from Cornwall? Had about 15 trips in 20 years and never remember getting any?

North, South, East , West coasts, maybe but don't think so :hmm:

Bry, they call me The Producer, I pride myself on catching the most and biggest fish every time we're out :laugh::laugh:

I can take the flak if it never happens again :tongue2:

Moletrapper off this site is also on the trip.

Gonna be great, Skip said today that fishing is good

Looking forward to it. :victory:
