Cheers lads   Pip.. Lings nice mate, I made a beer batter and it's very similar to cod as is pollack.. The bream was lovely stuffed with coriander, chilli, garlick, ginger and in the oven in foil.

sounds nice kev ate most sea fish and them mackerel done that way i think its called deviling or rick stein calls it that :laugh:

I think your right pip.. I'm not sure but I thought devilling involved leaving the guts in and cooking it ?? A bit like an old woodcock recipe..??

Stig I get him out as much as I can, it's hard work sometimes as he already knows everything lol... But you'd right they grow up so fast, you've got to try and make a bit of time..

 

Arch, we won't have a telly in the kitchen at all, we always have tea on the table, is the only time we all get chance for a yap lol... Fck watching eatsenders or some other shit when your trying to eat lol...

if it was devonenders on 4 nights a week be a different story :laugh: cant fault you what they learn now sticks with them same in our house if you don't sit at the table you don't eat although my kids are near enough all left home and the weekends our busy time Friday night is our sunday roast night and we all get together as a family.. the kids have carried it on the first thing my daughter got for her flat was a table and chairs ..

what were the bream caught on mate..... I went out last sat and it was terrible.

Mackerel or squid strips mate, either baited feathers or 2-3 hook paternosters... The biggest problem was getting through the pout..

went out from brixham mate. we new it wasn't going to fish very well as it was only a 3.8 tide we should of anchored up and had a go for conger really..

 

Torbay festival next week if your up for a days wrecking bigger tides will see the fish smashing the lures.

I'll struggle in the week with work I've just had a week off and came back to carnage lol..

 

 

It was the same for us, we had live eels but just couldn't set a drift properly, the wind was holding us up at times, I was hoping for a few bass but it wasn't to be.. It was quite nice to sit at anchor for a change though, there were a few small red bream caught too but they went back...

Well done mate, nice to see everyone sat round a table being a family....you cant beat it :thumbs:

 

Been heading out regular with the wee man myself, he is cracking on alright
