Guest Ditch_Shitter
I think ye have to be 15 to get a lisence, Digz. Probably allowed to handle a shot gun, under the supervision of a 21 year old, younger than that. Anyway, I certainly owned my own shot guns when I was sixteen. I went about unsupervised with them too. Not certain wether ye need to be 17 or 18 to physically walk in off the street and buy one though. Either way, ye certainly old enough to apply for ye lisence. I'm sure someone here can give ye chapter and verse. If not, just hit Google. Quote Link to post
ferreterno1 0
at the age of 15 you can have a shot gun licence, but only to be used with some one over 21. when your 18 you can use it on your own Quote Link to post

higgins 75
what are the main obstacles apart from storage and security issues, with regards to why they wouldn't grant a licence, also is it as difficult now to obtain one, would you need to prove you had a legitimate use say on a farm for pest control or do most people say they want it for clay pigeon shooting to get round it? borderboy 80
Shotgun certificated are relatively "easy" to get, the police have to prove why you shouldn't have one... Quote Link to post
