No experience with crosman but the hw45 is an awesome pistol and powerful too though expensive in comparison

I've the 2240 and I know its right up to legal power, don't consider it strong enough for dispatch myself though. UK laws are bull, You'd be better off with a rifle.

Crosman 1322 or 1377 if you like playing the Maracas. These make about 5.6 fpe, they are a version of the 2240 which relies on manually compressed air rather than CO2 (ie you will never run out of gas).

Co2 might not make the power if the weather is cold Hpa is the best bet

Or Multi Pump Pneumatic like the 1377 and 1322. My 1322 makes 5.6 fpe without any tuning or modding (using Crosman Premier 14.3 grain .22 pellets)!
