whippets and foxes

Recommended Posts

My mate knows of a whippet that takes fox single handed, its just over 21 1/2 inches. He asures me its pure whippet and i think he said it had sooty sam in its making.

There's a few show whippets that live near me and are so small and boney, they look pathetic. And look like they would struggle with rats.

They will take them, I used to own an animal that loved the job but I found once he progressed from rabbits to fox he would really hammer bunnies afterwards.

They can take them, but a whippetxgrey with that bit extra weight does it that bit easier

mad-mouse :D

Yes they can ive seen it, though this dog didnt have the normal whippet temperment it was nasty as hell, the dog did take a bit of a smashing, it isnt all about the make up of the dog althought it obviosly helps, its about how clever the dog is and the heart of the dog i would have said:thumbs:

i have owned a pruebred and a high% whippetx that would take them with gusto but it tends to be a bit of a drawn out affair and they tend to look a little ragged after a few in succession, better off with something a bit more substantial for both dog and quarrys sake.
