Daniel cain 45,519
Yeh mate he's what I call my learning dog he's learned pups terriers an lurcher on the big banking a found me a few holes I didn't know there was and generally a big learning curve for myself on reading a dog to when it's meant ally ready an not phsycally. I have a pup here I was hoping I'd get to put him to. She's only 9 months but been out every second day and literally has no interest in using her nose in any sense off the word. Which is a bummershe's still young John I wouldn't worry too much-had slow starters myself, when the penny dropped they turned in to reliable dogs.I got a pup here now thats the most forward pup ive ever known-hes stood riding my russell bitches head with his lipstick popped out pmsl-little fuckers only 7 1/2 weeks old never seen that before-hes ruling 3 terrier bitches,a beddy bull grey bitch and my foxhound lurcher-they all scared of him lol.atb with her;) dc 1 Quote Link to post

johnrussell84 2,832
Fair play to ya john mate, for finding her a new home, but mate I would have gave her this season , as flannel says when that penny drops, u could have a good wee bitch U know she may have eventually went at ground but just an earth dog isn't enough for me. I spend everyday with them just watching them grow and watching change. Maddie just never had any type of wanting to learn at all. It's a big ask to get a dog that will go out and work solo up an down banks and gulleys as well as drop to ground. If I don't have that the big dogs won't get half the runs they get either. an earth dog just isn't enough for the way I go about in the season they all gotta hold there own an work for each other 6 Quote Link to post
