clubshot 22
USA's answer to covering Lead - Copper made for Fire Arms - Can not be to good for Fine Air Rifle - Rifling - BOB/R 1 Quote Link to post
bikerhunter 4
hi, ive used copper coated pellets before, but wouldn't recommend them for hunting, alright for plinking but a big drawback is you have to use a solvent cleaner down your barrel to get all the fouling off properly, so i would definately give them a miss and never use them again 1 Quote Link to post
Andy_c 210
If it ain't broke.... Stick to the lead versions very good pells! Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
I was always on the opinion that they are not good for your barrel at all! Quote Link to post
sids 0
Nope, stay clear, they foul the barrel. Quote Link to post
cos01452 9
cheers for heads up , makes you wonder why they make them Quote Link to post
GSkye 94
I've only got them due to be limited .25 cal pellet stock at my local but they seem a heavier pellet and hit harder- how true I don't know but I guess at least, for those who worry about lead contamination, it's peace of mind Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Given that Weihrauch barrels are slightly choked, a hard, unyielding metal pellet, unlike lead is not good for them. Is there recorded hard, unyielding evidence that lead air rifle pellets have caused environmental harm of any sort. Other than damage caused by careless shooting ? 2 Quote Link to post

Is there recorded hard, unyielding evidence that lead air rifle pellets have caused environmental harm of any sort. Other than damage caused by careless shooting ? I'm not saying there is or isn't, I'm yet to have an opinion or find any intel.I heard from the tackle shop, from which I purchased them that there's fussy buggers out there. His words not mine However, don't Weihrauch also make H&N pellets, which produce the copper pellets? Quote Link to post
GSkye 94
From my opinion, I think the copper pellets hold they're shape more, upon impact compared than to lead. Not sure if that's a benefit but I'm still only using lead for hunting until I know more. These are just a back up pack until they restock the .25 shelf Quote Link to post
