Heard on local radio from new police officer in charge of rural crime, starting to take dogs off lads found coursing in east yorks and north lincs. Said asbos and fines have done nothing to stop coursing, and they have word dogs are changing hands for upto 15k so taking dogs will hit coursers where it hurts.

Also claims coursing is carried out by organised gangs interested in rural crime. Where do the police get there info from? What they gonna do with the dogs they confiscate?

And we've got peados,murderers, junkies etc etc roaming out streets and the police are to busy spending thousands on taking coursing folk to court, seizing dogs etc?? Our country is an absaloute joke at the minute

Tell me about it got junkies wandering around town never worked a day in their lives, still got on £100 trainers always same few doing break in's nothing ever happens "they have problems need help not punishment" anybody who touches a child wants tourching nothing ever happens. Sad state of affairs when coursing is top of the hit list

i lived most my life in lincolnshire, shocking all the resourses they pour into it specialist patrol vechicles and putting choppers up etc .. think theyd target worse crimes than hare coursing , "operation leveret"etc they ought to catch rapists,dealers, etc, whats being done about all the spates of dog thefts..? bugger all makes my piss boil..!!

No matter which way you look at it mate...hare coursing is illegal whether we like it or not!!! If it has been brought to the attention of the cops then whoever is coursing in that area isn't very good at being discreet as they're obviously waking up and upsetting farmers, livestock etc...and plenty of them if the cops are using all these resources.

 

I'm sure they know the extent to which hare coursing goes on and not by the calls from farmers day or night...just by looking on here at the amount of nuggets that broadcast it to the whole world!!!

 

And to moan about paedos, junkies etc is another load a pish. All police forces have task forces that deal with certain aspects of crime such rural/wildlife crime and hare coursing comes into that!!!

this year in lincolnshire operation gallileo , has a officer and 6 , yes 6 pc,s and a wildlife officer..? working shifts..!!call it pish or whatever , i just think police resourses could be used in better ways, but thats just my opinion, and confiscating vechicles , dogs etc is a bit too much thats all ..
