Tornado1979 145
Well I'm back to work this afternoon, I've had a brilliant weekend with a few visits to new permission one visit through the night, one early morning.... Oh yes and one on Sunday evening when I escaped while the wife's friend called round. Yesterday morning though I heard some mad sounds which I had no idea what it was, coming from within the woods, I've recorded it on phone so when I go out with my friend on his permission I'm sure he will advise with all his experience. Sure it all comes with experience but was so frustrating not knowing. It was a very aggressive sound when I walked near area but stopped when I walked away so god knows. Ill update you all once I find out. Quote Link to post

shootinforfood 18
I was out on a permission a few months ago, while it was still cold and heard a few strange noises. took no notice at first, and wasn't too worried as I had .17hmr with me and the dog. after about an hour of these noises I wandered over to where I thought they were coming from to find a dead and mauled fox lying in the field, coat matted with blood and obvious signs of a bit of a fight. was a bigish fox too. never found out what it was, didn't sound like a cat, but then it didn't sound like a dog or a wolf either so haven't a clue.
