Daz39 962
I always got best results with blue and green. Which filter reduces the beam the least? I picked up a lenza P7 and white beam is great, 150m+ With the red filter on, it's hard 10 freekin' yards! I only had a quick try last night and need to test the other colours. I picked up a pack of 4 filters (Usual Red/Blue/Green/Yellow). Any thoughts/Experience? I'd like to pick up a red LED for it IF they do them. Quote Link to post

I have tried green and blue but couldnt get on with them so tend to stick to just amber and red. Is the filter for the lenser a genuine one? Dedicated red or couloured LED's are a much better option but im unsure if you will find a drop in for the lenser. But as with everything, you get what you pay for so the higher priced LED stuff, the better the quality. Nice shooting skot Quote Link to post

I've got P7 mate exactly same prob with red filter could only just see past my feet, I tried others in pack and yellow was best for me due to distance. Quality torch though, especially for price. Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
I haven't really lamped that much to be honest. and I was using the filters years ago so cant remember much, they did help slightly with lampshy rabbits, but its not a miracle cure lol cheers lads Quote Link to post
moxy 617
I steer clear of white light and alternate between amber and red for rabbits. Just red for rats. Quote Link to post
woodcote1 88
Totally agree about the red for the P7. My homemade red filter was much better. Quote Link to post
Daz39 962
I'll have a go next time with the amber. Yes it is a genuine Lenza kit. I do like the P7, the white light is incredible for distance. I'll give the filters a go with brand new batteries. What did you use to make your own filter? How much distance do you lose with it? I also bought an ultrafire 1600LM on ebay, will see what that is like but again, white bulb. The P7 is about 200LM so I am expecting the ultrafire might be better? Who knows.... woodcote1 88
I made it out of a red plastic poly pocket. Cut it to size and just place in the filter holder. Its perfect for ratting but i did find the green and amber ones worked as well. Quote Link to post
