Id never take on a kc bred bull terrier again too many health issues

Heres my lad. He is a Yoruk, a livestock guardian breed from the middle east. In afganistan etc they protect herds of goats against wolves and bears. He loves us and the lurchers and even the ferrets

Not a lot of point in having a dog that lets folk in and savages them, all that will do is cause you a lot trouble and get your dog which you've put a lot of time into destroyed, your better off with a dog that puts folk off climbing your fence, so the GSD gets my vote, they sleep with one eye open, and one ear up :D

Gsd type for me , good deterrent and will get stuck in if needed. But let's face it guys if people want in an animal isn't hard to get past. Only takes a piece of steak with tranquillisers in.

Best to invest In decent solid setup and make in nigh impossible for anyone to gain access to what your protecting.

Some dogs won't take food off strangers,a mate of mine had a big nasty Rottweiler looking after his shop of a night in a rough area.

The c**ts either made some noise to get him out or waited for him to go for a piss and shot him.

The next night the break ins started again.
