Outlaw Pete 2,224
Cheers, guys. I'll have nothing more to do with those thieves at ebay. Thus I never think to look at their links. But, I'm now seeing how more and more, honest, traders are giving a direct phone number. We can ring them. Discuss shit. Pay, there and then, with plastic, over the phone. Suits me. I'll pick the Pest a waterproof coat next week. Got half an eye on that moody sky as we speak.
Ratreeper 441
She never did like going out in the rain. Exactly, mate! It's a trait I've noticed, in Bull Breeds, down the years. Their hairs seem to be more like hedgehogs spines. More widely spaced on their skin and no undercoat. Rain drops just pass right between the hairs and hit the skin. One of my old Pit Bull's would face the fires of hell, if they wound him up. Yet, shower of rain, while walking him? He'd try to drag me through the nearest door! Bless him! Pest has a similar placement of hairs on her body. Much softer though. Either way, I refuse to leave such a Dog in the rain. Problem arising is that I feed them all out on their chains. Then I like them to stay quiet for an hour or two. Avoid the risk of leaping around and getting Bloat. First thing Pest wants to do, off her chain / after her dinner, is murder Rag. Much leaping and twisting! Can't have that, obviously. Left on her chain? She lays down and quietly goes asleep. But; If it starts raining on her ....? I think I might have narrowed it down to a " Water Resistant " one, with buckles. If it'll just allow me to take her out, in rain, and put her on her chain for fifteen minutes, while she eats? It's just to keep those wet pellets off her skin. Then I'd fetch her in here, alone, with me. She'll settle down in a bed and sleep. Others have fur to withstand rain. Incidentally, as we're speaking ~ and I'd been wrangling with when I should broach this ..... PM me, any time, for an in depth update That explains a lot, I thought it was just mine being soft! He won't even go out for a piss if there's a drizzle, but weirdly loves paddling around in water but won't swim, they are a funny breed really. If you can't find anything without velcro, why not just build some shelters? It would be easier if you have the space and I am sure the dogs would prefer it to a coat if they have to sit out in the rain, as personally I wouldn't leave a dog in the rain even with the best coat and hat in the world... Outlaw Pete 2,224
They are a funny breed really. If you can't find anything without velcro, why not just build some shelters? Other three have got houses to go into, Reaps. They just sit outside them and get soaked! Dogs can be the 'funniest' things, indeed. Some will take to a shelter. Some won't. Nothing we can do to Make them. No. Pest will have her coat. It'll only be for the times when it's raining as I want to feed her. Then, she'll be brought in again as soon as she's eaten and had a shit. (Pest only ever shits straight after her dinner. Niggy, only during his walk. Danger Dog then, and just now, as I let them out for their night run. Regular as clockwork, the lot of them). Beauty of having a good coat for her, of course, is that I'll be able to walk her out when it's pounding it down. She won't be screaming to get in, out of the rain and will be able to enjoy her exercise. Dog shelters are all very well and good. But, who'd want a Dog cowering in one, all winter? I wear excellent, wet weather gear. So shall Pest

I want to get a good coat for mine for the same reason, when I had only had him a few weeks I was out walking him in the dark and it started to rain and he just buggered off back home on his own , weirdly he went back a way he had never walked before too. So if it rains when we are out I have to find shelter or he looks at me like i'm a Korean chef.
Outlaw Pete 2,224
..... or he looks at me like i'm a Korean chef. FFS! Don't even say that in jest! That's f**king terrible! Swim? No. Not if I can help it. Open waters, round me, aren't places I want to have to go after my Dogs. No One approaches those waters
Brewman 1,192
My ridgeback hates the rain when it heavy so now if the fecker needs a shite when it's heavy rain he does it under the kids trampoline and that's a bigger to shift around to clean up the shite.
