perthshire keeper 1,239 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) hi all i have a partner van. and i have just changeed the nearside ball joint and in doing so poped the shaft a bit far out and lost a bit of gear oil now where do i top it up at ive been told their is a nut to undo or refill thru the breather but i cant fecking find eather and ive been looking for a hour! help please! Chid 6,583 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 If it's the 1.9 non turbo (1868cc DW8 engine) the level plug is the big bolt on the gearbox end plate in the left hand wheel arch. It's a bugger to get out because of the end plate flange is so close. Don't be tempted to hammer the flange flat or it will cause a leak.
