Recommended Posts

about 5 weeks ago i found a strange lump on my dogs foot..i thought it was a seed or a thorn under the skin a first but it started getting a little bigger it sarted off about the size a a five pence peace theres a pic below showing it when it first stared to bother me ..i have dealt with rips tears sprains and all the usuall injuries but this was bugging me so i took him to the vets ..they diagnosed it as a tumor so straight away i give them the ok to get it removed ..they said it could be one of two types one is malignant and the other is benine ..in english its cancer one sort spreads the other dosent ...so after the op i had to wait for the results ..i was quite worried about it as anybody would be about there dog if it has a serious disease ...any after a week off waiting i finally got the result ..in the vets words this is what she said (mr snoop i have some good news the tumour is benine and your dogs is in the clear :clapper::clapper: .....)where they cut the tumour out on top of the foot the skin is tight and not a lot of loose skin for the vet to play with... so after she had stiched it it was short walks on the lead only for 10 to 12 days ..anyway the sticthes were removed thursday just gone so i took him for a run on the beach to see how he was and to start getting him fit again :D roll on the season :D:D heres a few pics of the foot and todays run on the beach ...

in the vets words this is what she said (mr snoop i have some good news the tumour is benine and your dogs is in the clear

F*ck Me, mate! As I read those words I let out the most almighty breath and damn near started shaking with relief!

One of my own Dogs had exactly the same. Started licking at his own foot and I discovered a little black thing between his pads. It was barely bigger than a match head when discovered and about a quarter the size of a pea when they took it out.

But it had mastisized. Turns out the 'Black Spot' (the malignant version of what ye Dog had there) is one of The Most aggressive cancers. The rest is history. And so soon, despite the best treatment, was my poor Dog

Thank f*ck it wasn't the malignant variety.
