How old was he when you lamped him the first time ?

he was 11 and a half months, on two runs that were fit for him, as soon as they put in a turn he started bellowing.and he was more than ready.
looks like you was unlucky with him then ...atb sesku

It makes you wonder how many are at this moment in time going through the same emotions that

you go through when this happens, it slaughters you. what i will say is to who ever maybe reading

this post who are having these problems with yappers, is good luck, whatever the outcome..

bad choice for a lamping dog, beddy/whippets are renowned for yapping, if your lucky it can be just down to excitement and you'll get the odd yip or two on the first couple of runs, then they'll settle down and are silent, my beddy lurchers have been like that. if its an out and out yapper, its get a couple of ferrets and start mooching, which is a game they're better suited for.

I was given a 5 year old bitch , which had a good reputation .Because of the owners change of domestic situation he could no longer keep it . When i first took her out and run her on a rabbit she yipped and yapped at every turn , to say i was dissapointed was an understatement !! But i kept her and gradually as her fittness improved [she was a bit overweight] she stopped . It was just down to frustration , in not being able to catch rabbits she would have easily caught when fit !!!! A T B
