after asking questions on injections i have a few more questions to ask as ive decided to get a 12 week old puppy

how often at 12 weeks should it be fed and what food do you recomend?

what is the best way to house train?the dog will be outdoors during the day but will sleep indoors

how much excersize will the dog want at this age?

someone has sead to me feed a puppy twice a day and 20min training till it gets 6,7 months old then 45 min a day

well daz i am definately no expert as this is my first lurcher pup 15 weeks now, i still feed him 4 times a day with beta puppy soaked in water and add 60 grammes of raw meat to it eg beef mince , rabbit , pigeon and twice a day he gets his stress powder to help build strong bones and his milk because he loves it. with toilet training i just kept a close eye on him and when it looked like he needed take him outside,after he was finished i gave him lots of praise and a wee treat and within a week he started going to the back door to get out(well most of the time).i have only really started training him lately and that only lasts about 10 mins at most,i am still really letting him be a pup but i would say i walk him about 1.5hrs a day on the lead.I know i may not be very experienced but everything i have tried so far is working so cant complain, hope this helps, john

i feed my pup's twice a day and my jack russel pup has a bowl of dry food down all day as he just grazes i also usualy split a pound of beef between my whippet bitch and bulldog bitch (pup's) once a day as i get it for 50p a pound at my local butchers pre baked and frozen . also rabbit or whatever i get when i get it but with me this cant be a regular diet as is simply dont get out to get enough of it for them and what i do get the ferrets are destroying just now i cant seem to get enough lol . as for toilet training i always have paper down for the jack russel as its a little poo and always does something over night but i try puting him out when i think he needs and praising him etc and giv him a little row when i catch him inside at it but theres no point if he has done it and you havnt saw him as he wont know what the rows for . the dog wont need a big amount of walking at that age a short walk and 15 minz running will naker him out to start with especialy on an open feild once he is a bit older he should be able to run around the hole time your out aslong as you want to be out well this is what mine do anyway lol hope it helps a little
