Food, Fifty Years Ago .....

I remember in the 80s when Prawn Cocktail starters and steak and chips at a Berni Inn was considered posh :laugh: First Chinky I ever had was in Kidwelly (around 1987), place was called Lee Fook (that raised a smile to young lad LOL)

some folk still consider prawn cocktail and steak dinner posh don't know about you

Berni Inn. Ah that brings back memories. "Surf and Turf" was steak and chips with a couple of scampi (probably not real scampi) chucked on.

 

I never really understood how some foods like prawn cocktail are thought of as 80's food. Prawns are still prawns and taste the same as back then. Mmmm. Prawns. :laugh:
