If i remember correctly they cant have to much organ meat weekly as they will get to much taurine. 2oz a week for liver.

Yes lambs liver is fine tho. They can eat mostly any meats and organs just the quantity needs checking especially if your not going to use kibble, it needs to be balanced.

If you are still using kibble along with the raw you should take the kibble away 3hrs before you feed raw to stop them getting upset stomaches as raw and kibble digest at different rates so the kibble slows down the process leaving the meat in the digestive track longer than it should be and can cause problems with their tummies.

Its vitamin A. Vit A is stored in the liver, and in large doses, vitamin A affects homeobox genes. This means that when pregnant, kits can become deformed. Other than that, excess Vit A is either stored or excreted. But as above, too much of anything is an unbalanced diet.

I remember when I was a boy my old man used to feed his ferts lites (cows lung) f****d it and died, it was nasty as well, them were the days of bread and milk, these days hopefully ferts are more cared for as noledge is the key

I feed lites to the dogs and ferrets when the butcher gives me a bag along with various other offal. They love it!

Simply feed fresh whole carcass food to ferrets and they can eat liver there, without you overdoing it. Seen some nasty defects and even death when ferrets are fed to much offal, particularly liver.

I hack mine up and freeze it. No point being careful, just get the axe/cleaver out and bang it into pieces. Just remove livers first and keep them in a box. I then feed them that once a week or so. Mine dont tend to eat bones, but will do eggs shells, so I throw any small eggs my hens lay in too when I give them dry food. Wettens the food and gives them calcium in the shells. You cant over do it if you mix it up most of the time.
