My bitch eyes always take a hammering when out bushing no matter what the cover.Back in march had to take her to the vet because she damaged her eye'i think it was a blackthorn that did the damage. The thing is i had only had her since jan and she was only a young dog. Had to lay her up 4 a while but she is fine now hope it wont happen again cos it cost an arm an a leg but thankfully not an eye atb daywalker.

Good clean then eye drops is what I do.

Before we had any drops ,used to use ,cooled down Tea bags ,,,,,,,Dip the tea bag in cooled boiled water wipe the eye

get her a pair of goggles

Use to use stuff called golden eye from chemist but can no longer get it.now just use the stuff you get in first aid boxes etc.

Am waitin to take my 3y/o lurcher back to vet on monday to problably have his right eye removed due to hittin cover like a kamikaze an gettin a blackthorn right in the eye...just bad luck i suppise..but as day and night walker mentioned it costs a few quid...been twice in the last three days an already forked out £190..an lookin at another £300 to have the damaged eye removed !!! Worst thing is the rabbit he was chasin got away !!!!! Atb..gravedigger
