Net Making

Recommended Posts

was thinking about useful things I could do with a bit of spare time when I cant get out in the field and I have watched a few of the net making videos on the internet and thought I would fancy trying myself, not to sell just for my own use and was wondering the 2 inch gaugeing board does this have to be flat as I have a couple of plastic weights off the bottom of some old blinds and they are bevelled out slightly on both sides, would this matter or does it have to be flat?

only the edge you tie the knots on needs to be flat, however a curved surface will measure greater than a flat surface  2 1/4 inch is my normal mesh size. find an old car number plate and cut yourself a netting needle and mesh board

Shouldn't matter mate, just be a slightly bigger mesh. Ive used laminate floor, door way joining strip before I got a 2.1/4 board. Cut myself some metal boards as soon as I found a bit of ally sheet though.

plenty of road chipping signs at this time of year :whistling:
