New 3/4 Grey 1/4 Bull Pup

Recommended Posts

After falling out with the lamping game for a bit, I went out the other night and got the bug again. So after a frantic look on the net, ive gone out and bought 3/4 grey 1/4 bull pup.Never really been a big fan on bull xs but ive found a cracking looking blue brindle dog 9months old and never seen a thing and only been kept as a pet.Hes a result of a half x to full greyhound and is about as steady as it comes, a real laid back type. Not having a great deal of exsperience in bringing bull xs on, can anyone tell me the pros and cons with this breed and maybe give some advice to help me along way!!!

Get a picture up :)They will enter on quarry very young, but hold them back till about 16-18 months, they mature fast, like every pup make sure its fully stock trainned before taking it out for a hunt:) they tend to hunt up so recall must be good as they are a terrier breed,,, they must be keep extra fit or else they will have no stamia as stamia isnt a strong point in the bullx they over heat, prey drive is brillant and brains are ok depending on the dog of course but build a good bond with it and you will never take on any other cross ;)they have balls of steel on quarry. atb with him :)

Recalls not an issue with this dog, hes absolutely spot on, think it must be to do with him only ever been in a garden, hes proper took to me..Hes very weary around live stock, which I suppose is a blessing, rather backing off than any interest in chasing. One step at a time I say

How do I put pictures on?

I keep hearing this from lads about bull x's lacking stamina, its rubbish IMO! Some of the big heavy types maybe due to the amount of muscle tgey carry but keep the dog in top nick make sure the dogs bred out of a proper bull (that should have endless stamina) and it shouldn't be an issue.
