Pre Charged Air Rifle Cost Vs Rimfire ??

After spending some time out in field the other night with my HW100 FSB .22, the person I was with using a rimfire .22, I must say I was very impressed and with being curious I thought id look at cost of them etc...maybe for in a few year :-)

 

I'm suprised how cheap they are (new) compared to the pre charged air rifles, whats the reason for this ??

 

 

I noticed a CZ455 with scopes, mounts, silencer, bipod for £519, I spent over £1200 on set up for HW100 with air tank etc..... confused.

Less workings technology goes into them same with shotguns within reason

limited market v unlimited market = inflated prices just look how cheap FAC versions are second hand compared to non FAC

Big issue with Fire Arms is Flying Cartridge Cases

 

Aware of several that have lost vermin permissions on golf courses for not picking up cases

 

Often get picked up by Golfers - splitting Shoes and marking Floors in club Houses -

The vast majority of people simply don't want, or are even interested in FAC powered guns, or really need one, if I come across a rabbit the size of a bear, I'll borrow a more powerfull gun, or dig a bigger pit trap
