hello i have a beddy x whippet she is 13 moths old and 19" tts i keep getting told she too small but everytime i take her she make bull x greyhounds and saluki x look silly wats your opinion on beddy whippet

They are cracking little dogs with big hearts.

 

Ask northernlite on here. It's all he will have now. I think his have got a touch of greyhound in there. He loves them though. They are brilliant little dogs.

If it's bigger more open fields then the bigger dog has the advantage but in smaller fields where they need to catch quick and with a lot of turning...you can't beat the wee dogs ;-)

They are brilliant wee dogs. But as has already been said. It depends on what your hunting. Your wee bitch may well make your mates bigger crosses look 'silly' on some game. But im afraid that there are some areas of our sport where the bigger crosses should outclass the wee bitch.

Just enjoy the wee bitch and make the most of her attributes.

It makes bull x's and saluki x's look like silly T***'s in your words, why would you doubt its ability,if it doe's what you want, and you come in with a smile on your face Bo****k's to what other people think, they have been filling freezer's for years and year's, a very versatile little dog,

The people who own and work them allready know what a useful mutt they are,its when people start comparing them to other crosses i.e. Bull and saluki types and saying they are better,they certainly are better at runs and quarry that suit them,but would be far inferior at other times,work the dog to its potential and enjoy it for that,then become a tad more realistic.

About small fields we got some fields around 30- 150 acre around by me and beddy/whips do just fine in all the fields on the bunnies.

Kizzy great dog never measured her but she was tiny. Brilliant temperament and great little worker. Lived to ripe old age as well

 

 

If a rabbit was way out in a big field I just got between it and home and slipped her as the rabbit got closer but I did that with bigger dogs any way common sense. No point wasting dogs energy storming off after a rabbit miles away
