I wouldnt worry about mate mine come back looking like that regular. My saluki/just got on something sat out on a grass field he followed it through a big wood couple of seconds later i hear the squealing. Found him out in the field stood over his quarry looking like hes had a fight with a lawn mower .,,,

I do,even the most miniscule of cuts and knocks i treat in a few moments, them few moments of care aid the dog as the season unfolds,i possibly understand your true meaning but a little care and attention is more than beneficial to the mutt as its season progresses.
