Hdpe is the way forward for me....

Theres a place for nice wooden cattys.... multiplex...hardwoods....naturals etc....

But of late...hdpe has become an unbeatable material for strong.... durable catapults....

That are easy to work with....

Whether it be recycled milk cartons...bleach bottles and the like.....

Or a pre-made sheet of hdpe....

I purchased this off ebay... 100mm wide.... 300mm long....

And 12mm thick.... for around a fiver...

Went for 12mm so its nice and thin....pocketable etc....

Soon see if its as strong as the recycled ones i make :hmm:

Managed 3 cattys out of the one sheet.... drawn out anyway...

2 full size...and one miniature shooter....

Next step is to get them cut out....

But the stencil is there

But it doesnt feel as strong as the recycled hdpe we have made....

One of mine is about 10mm thick and has no flex in it whatsoever
