foxtails 272
Cheers for the response everyone, Thinking an ex army fold out shovel ????? Ive got two weeks from end of aug to get all this gear together including ferrets lol this should be interesting! NEVER in a million years, i'm sure in the past we have all bought one thinking they will be useful. And every single one of us will have realised after the first spit they are as suitable as tits on a boar............... yes i bought one thinking about how small it was ect ect, it snapped on me, stay well away from folding shovels, lol a good bushing/marking terrier, a couple ferrets 50 purse nets, a few gate nets , longnet, a ferret finder/collars ect a rucksack ferret carr box, and after a few outings out you relise a set of secatures is very handy Quote Link to post

Stevie E 66
We carry the same has cjoe but take a few different handy spades carry 1 and leave a smaller 1 in the car and a root splitter luckily were never far away from the vehicle and a drink for the ferrets.Which is a lot from when i first started looking back on it now .Good luck oldham lad the very least you should have the ferrets by now or you,ll be risking using inexperienced ferrets of a very early age or unless you can get hold of some older stock but be warned come september good seasoned workers will be hard to get.It may be worth your while to meet up with someone who has all the gear and good workers who can show you what you need and how to use it and basically show you the ropes Edited August 17, 2013 by Stevie 1 Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
Being serious, I usually take, 2 Jills in a small carrying box, Net bag with about 30 nets, Small stop net basket, takes 4 stop nets, Bulldog spade, Locator and collars. Knife and secateurs. Sometimes take my old post office bag for the rabbits or take a rabbit carrier, My PO bag has a probe in the bottom of the bag, not necessary, but I find it useful. its 2ft so not heavy. and not forgetting Jack my 3/4 Whip 1/4 Beddy pup who is serving his apprenticeship. B.P.R 2,798
Minimum...... FERRET... And either.... 1. A FEW NETS.. or 2. A DOG CAPABLE OF CATCHING BOLTERS.... OR ATLEAST SOMETHING THAT GIVES YOU PLEASURE WATCHING TRY.... numbers are irrelevant.... More gear than the above.... is either to aid you....or increase catch numbers..... Its as simple as that Edited August 18, 2013 by Blue Pocket Rocket 2 Quote Link to post
