Collie Greyhound

Recommended Posts

This pic was taken a long time ago....

Richard Jones half x - this was a very good dog....

Sadly broke a hind leg and was put down at 4 years old....never felt the loss of a dog as keenly as I felt this lad's passing....

Probably the hardiest big dog I've ever had....took whatever you threw at him and never complained once....look at the feet on him...looks kinda bully too....:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I've ran 3/4 breds...one of the best dogs I ever had was a Hancock 3/4 by Taffy away back in the mid 1980s...had some great days and nights...had stamina limits though....greyhoundy feet and was hard

I got a 5/8 grey 3/8 collie from 2 hancock dogs, though not directly from his yard............she's been a honest bitch over the years, switched right on to the ferreting game, a great "companion" dog

Finn my first x collie/grey...   Done all I have asked....looking forward to winter.....

Never tire of looking at that dog, fingers crossed I end up with one just like it...

I'd settle for another one just like him Jamie...got him in 1986....took to the lamp better than any dog I've ever had....

Cracking dog that borderscott... Nice and strong and well put together. Shame you lost him.

Like I say mate never felt the loss of a dog as hard as I felt it when I lost the Paddy dog....ripped my heart out....and am not ashamed to admit it.... :icon_redface:

There is no shame in that mate what so ever... Its never nice to lose a dog esp when its a proper animal. I know the feeling myself first hand and it never gets easier. Atb pal.

good to see a sensible thread on collie x,s and hancock breeding, the bitch in my avitar was put down a few weeks back at 11 years old, wouldnt have swapped her for a gold cow, she was 1st x collie/grey to 1st x collie/ grey, mainly a rabbit catcher , but not adverse to other stuff, so long as it didnt bite back

i now have a 1st x collie /grey and have put me name on a 3/8 collie, 5/8 grey bitch pup, did think about hancock 1st x , but gonna try and pick a heavyish pup from the litter
