Sadly broke a hind leg and was put down at 4 years old....never felt the loss of a dog as keenly as I felt this lad's passing.... Probably the hardiest big dog I've ever had....took whatever you threw at him and never complained once....look at the feet on him...looks kinda bully too.... 6 Quote Link to post

I'd settle for another one just like him Jamie...got him in 1986....took to the lamp better than any dog I've ever had.... Cracking dog that borderscott... Nice and strong and well put together. And you're right it never gets easier...I've lost two in the last two years and it's still a headfuck... Some folk go lifetimes and never lose one....maybe I'm unluckier than some.... moley 115 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Share Posted August 16, 2013 good to see a sensible thread on collie x,s and hancock breeding, the bitch in my avitar was put down a few weeks back at 11 years old, wouldnt have swapped her for a gold cow, she was 1st x collie/grey to 1st x collie/ grey, mainly a rabbit catcher , but not adverse to other stuff, so long as it didnt bite back i now have a 1st x collie /grey and have put me name on a 3/8 collie, 5/8 grey bitch pup, did think about hancock 1st x , but gonna try and pick a heavyish pup from the litter 2 Quote Link to post
