Perhaps I should have put this in the midnight story thread instead.

Years ago I used to deliver papers early morning (4-5 a.m) to an estate in Southend, and so did another bloke. He was a retired pilot in his 60's who used to do this for pocket money and probably to get away from his mrs. Quite a sensible chap, as you'd expect.

We used to collect from different areas and sometimes we would see each other at the delivery point, where we had to pile the papers up outside the shop.

He told me (and he seemed genuinely shaken up) that a couple of mornings before, as he drove into the estate which was deserted, he saw a van like his driving towards him. It had the same reg number and he thought his van had been cloned. It was coming out of the estate as he drove in. As it passed him, he looked in to see who was driving it and he swears it was HIM. The doppelganger didn't look at him, but drove past in the other direction just looking straight ahead.

He was understandably shaken up so didn't think to give chase to this imposter immediately, but he dropped his papers off and took off after the van to see where it went, but it was nowhere to be seen.

I'd have shit myself, but he reckons he witnessed some time of time lapse and saw himself as a "ghost" from another morning.

Spooky. :icon_eek:
