whippet 99 2,613
Most on here know I'm tight about letting the kids sit in playing video games or staring at the tv ... the kids call me for it now but they'll thank me later I reckon. Most days the tv isn't on at all - that's saying something during the summer holidays. Himself has been teaching them to swim in rivers, we've been on a holiday in the Lakes (no tv whatsoever), bike rides on the canal, killing rats, walking for miles, hiding in hedgerows watching deer in the evening sun ... cheap and cheerful good times; what more can a kid want Life is fair good at the moment

lurchergrrl 1,441
I hope not So What ... as cheap and cheerful is about all I can afford They've been on their bikes that much we now have one set of brakes not working, one puncture and one skidded out tire. We spent Friday evening having a contest skipping stones at the river. I won

lurchergrrl 1,441
I only fancy going once in a while if I'm honest. Mostly the dogs will go out with Himself - I get the skinning and mincing job
