Puppy Vaccination's

Recommended Posts

Slightly off topic but how many owners stick to the booster annually?

I do but I like to go aboard..

The kennels require up to date booster and kennel cough ..

I don't mind spending the cash on the dogs.. Mine are worth it :victory:

would rather the vet jabbed the pups just for peace of mind

Each to there own but I am not a fan of the black market jabs.

because my vet knows that i'm fairly knowledgable he doesn't try to 'rip me off'..... he did once years ago and was quickly put right (he assumed i was ignorant and didn't know the difference between

its horses for courses if you buy jabs from a trusted source were there stored at the right temp and are in date, all vaccine viles carry a date and batch number then there is no reason you cant vaccinate your own dog if however you don t like needles or are not confident to do it go to the cheapest vet you can find , ive always done my own dogs with no problem infact i do 99% of my dogs vet work but if i needed a vet i know a few good ones and they know me so wont rip me off

you can ask your vet for a prescription for vaccinations for your dogs then go to NVS, Dunlops, Centuar etc and buy a tray of jabs perfectly legally but in realaity its not worth the hassle

I've got a good vet Daniel Doherty a greyhound vet he not dear and no the ins and outs of running dogs, I wouldn't use anyone else. Ring him day or night and he will see you, can't ask for much more than that. He half price than my local vets for vaccinations and don't try and rip you of will always point you in the right direction. He down south if anyone got any problems pm me i can point you in his direction.

Where abouts roughly? I travel about 8 miles past a few other practices to my vets for jabs and anything I'm not happy treating myself and they are very understanding with working dogs but always handy to know of another goodun.

I must live near you mate im not far from newbury, I travel to Langley only bout half hour up the m4. pm me I can give you a number for him mate

I have been ringing around a few vets to get prices for puppy vaccination's, the prices vary from £34 to £100 + Its about time the prices that vets can charge for meds got regulated

I had a pup jabbed yesterday. Cost me £44. Thats an advanced payment for the 2nd jab aswell.

Oh and i also got some 'spot on' flea and wormers thrown in for free

Not really free when you paid £44 for the £10 jab. Lol. If you're happy then that's all that matters though.

I always used to jab myself but after going abroad a few times we cant always rely on people to house and dog sit so I went to budget vets in Newport and they charged £59 for both jabs ,flead ,wormed ,kennel cough and micro chipped so not bad really ....
