Firstly hello everyone, have been reading this forum for a large part of the last couple of days as I'm about to purchase my first air rifle in over 25 years. My first (and only) was .177 break barrel

Go with the springer mate the pcp will cost a lot more im not saying that you will not get one for that price but by the time you have got every thing you need to go with the pcp it will have cost you

Hello, mate. I enjoyed reading that, good post.   Si's will make someone a fantastic rifle and for very reasonable money too but..... (sorry, Si ) if you're wanting a rifle for your kids to use th

cheers for the offer Si, I think pushing to £300 is going to be tricky to justify

I hadn't really given any thought to the fact that the wife\kids will find it unwieldy when they start to use it.

This info may have just changed my outlook on what I want as I may be better served getting a cheaper simple good quality rifle that would be suitable for juniors to start with, and then getting the cash together for something that will last me for years to come next summer (HW97 or the equivalent Air Arms). I'm happy to wait for the right gun to come up 2nd hand if I've got something I can happily plink away on for the rest of summer and over the winter months.

Decisions decisions - still I'm glad I asked and didn't just order a gamo online as I liked the look of it :boogy:

HW35.

A good plinking and hunting gun that everyone can get to grips with.

I started shooting with one of these when I was 13, 32 years ago, my younger brother has it now and it still shoots as accurate as the day I bought it and its never been serviced :thumbs:

Andy has my 90 with it's stealth silencer at the moment....

I had to take it off to fit your 90 into my longest gunbag. It seems to be a pretty useless bit of kit from what I can tell. I fitted it to my own 90 and it hardly seemed to make any difference.

I'll strip, clean and re-lube the ram in your's then pump it back up to see if there's any leaks. Hopefully it won't need a seal kit but we'll know next week.

Perhaps the previous owner had noodle arms and needed it to cock it?

If the bluing is any good under it see if you can get a new front blade and lose the damned thing then! Will make the gun more manageable if I can lose the extra foot or so that thing is!
